Honolulu 50+ Year Old Aggregate Bin Replacement

April 7, 2026

DHE Inc. recently completed a 600 Ton aggregate bin replacement with a new CON-E-CO eight  Compartment Aggregate Bin with dual Aggregate Weigh Batchers.  The High Production Central Mix Plant has played a key role in the growth of Honolulu.  Over the years the plant has specialized in high strength concrete projects and has had to adapt to the demand of new mix designs incorporating a greater variety of aggregates.

By utilizing the existing aggregate bins support structure, DHE Inc. and CON-E-CO designed a replacement aggregate bin that stream-lined the customers aggregate batching and reduced future maintenance costs.  The Aggregate Bin was built at CON-E-CO’s Blair Nebraska facility, and designed in modules to meet the restrictions of shipping over-sea’s.

DHE Inc. removed the existing aggregate bin in sections, and then pre-assembled the CON-E-CO Aggregate Bins modules into complete sections to be erected onsite.  Once the new aggregate bin was back in place, the customer took over the project responsibility to bring the new bin back up on line.
