California Recycled Concrete & Concrete Process Water Projects Moving Forward

January 22, 2020

CalCIMA members have been busy lately working on several projects of interest to producers. One is that a work group from the Technical Committee is meeting with Caltrans over the next couple of months to develop a specification to allow the use of recycled concrete materials in pavements. The effort is led by Katha Redmon (Graniterock), Don Vivant (United Rock), Marty Hansberger (Holliday Rock), and Pete Conlin (Teichert). A report with recommendations has already been issued by Caltrans. Members interested in assisting with the project should let the CalCIMA office know. In another, members of the Environment Committee have been working overtime with the State Water Resources Control Board to fashion a uniform statewide waste discharge requirement (WDR) for concrete and aggregate plants and complete a best practices manual for concrete plants. Members interested in learning more should contact .  As posted by calcima.org
