Assessing Concrete Batch plants can be broken down into 5 areas.

Dual Dry Batch Plants

1. Plant production or through-put. Measure the opening of the aggregate gates and butterfly valve openings. Material flow depends on its density and is restricted to the square area it must pass through. Use an average of the top 5 mix designs to evaluate plant production.
2. Remaining equipment life cycle. Most batch plants have a life cycle of 40 years. However material wear and lack of maintenance can reduce the cycle time of plant components. Short term capital replacement costs can reduce the value of a plant. Replacement costs can be found on most equipment web sites.
3. Environmental Compliance liability. As our population continues to grow, so well the environmental standards required for concrete batch plants. Being a good steward in your local market will always pay off over time, but may require short term investments.
