How Diamond Concrete meets City of San Diego demands by moving their concrete plant inside an existing warehouse.

Recently DHE Inc. completed the installation of a new CON-E-CO Lo-Pro 427 Concrete Batch Plant inside of an existing 150′-0″ X 250′-0″ warehouse with a ceiling height of 24′-6″.

Aggregates are delivered by bottom dump trailers into a grizzly at grade level.  Rock and Sand is then conveyed to a shuttle conveyor storage system in side of the warehouse.  A loader operator then feeds the plant via a NOBLE 30X80 radial stacking conveyor.  Cement is delivered on the outside of the north wall with only the fill pipes passing through to the inside of the building.

The CON-E-CO 427 Concrete Batch Plant features a 4 compartment 134 ton aggregate bin, 18 cubic yard aggregate weigh batcher, 70 ton in-truss cement silo, 12 yard recirculating cement weigh batcher, and 36″ batch transfer conveyor.  CommandBATCH controls provide the plant automation.  Mixer trucks back up to the open roll up door, and only enter into the building 5′-0″.  The plant is rated at 200 yards per hour.
