As the mobility of Concrete Batch Plants continues to grow, Concrete Ready-mix producers are finding creative ways to install high production dry concrete batch plants inside of established structures.  Outback Materials in Fresno CA recently installed a new CON-E-CO LoPro 327SS Mobile Concrete Batch Plant inside of an existing barn on a permitted site.  The new plant included self-erect hydraulics to raise the plant into place while steel foundations were extended from beneath the underside of the batch plant onto the existing concrete floor.  Cement and Aggregate deliveries taken place outside of the barn, while the materials are conveyed into the Concrete Batch Plant.  Four NOBLE 30" conveyors with individual loader hoppers provide a sand and rock recovery of 2,000 tons per hour. The plant utilizes a water weigh batcher allowing the re-use of process water saving city water.  By locating the plant inside of an existing structure, Outback was able to reduce the visual impact to the surrounding area, as well as the cost of delivering concrete to local customers.  In addition site trees and landscaping remain as it has been for over 40 years.

Producers are finding new market locations by utilizing existing / established buildings for their expanding concrete operation.
